How a segment ends and the next begins
Set the maximum and minimum time of a segment, and learn the four transition modes: Auto, Manual, Sync and Host.
-
How long
Click a segment and find Timing.
- Max Duration is the maximum time of the segment. When this time ends, the segment ends, whatever the other settings are. An empty value or 0 means no limit.
- Min Duration is the minimum time before a participant can continue early.
The timer that participants see becomes amber in the last minute. It becomes red in the last 30 seconds. Warning Time sets this time only for Social and Shop segments.
Here the chat has a maximum of five minutes and a minimum of one minute.
The chat: a maximum of 300 seconds and a minimum of 60 seconds. -
How it moves on
Transition Mode sets what ends a segment before its time ends:
- Auto waits for the timer.
- Manual shows a Continue button.
- Sync shows a Continue button too. It waits until all participants in the chamber click it. Then it moves all of them to the next segment together.
- Host waits for you to move the group to the next segment from the dashboard.
Allow early advance adds a Continue button to an Auto segment. The button becomes active after Min Duration.
In all modes except Sync, each participant continues alone when they click Continue. Carrier tells the other participants. A chat continues for the participants who stay.
Here the chat gets early advance. The closing page changes from Auto to Manual. Click Deploy to save.
